OUR STORY
Our story began in 2003 from a dream, the dream of a fifteen-year-old with a passion for his land and a small plot of land passed down through generations. Being still very young, I couldn’t have big plans for it, but everything changed with a dream… I dreamed of my grandfather, who poured his grand design for a prosperous wine-making future into me, as if to redeem the history and tradition of that place and his family.
In 2013, no longer a teenager, after expanding the inherited land, I embarked on a new adventure. Supported only by that old dream, I decided with firm determination to cultivate a 100% Carricante vineyard. Thanks to the help, support, and above all the valuable advice of many people who believed in me,
today I can say that I have succeeded!
We work the land with great care and always pay the utmost attention to the treatment of the leaf apparatus in order to minimize treatments. Our vineyard was started in a traditional way, planting the wild one and the second year it was grafted on site, to have a prosperous vine the following year.
I don’t deny that years of hard work and difficulties have passed, but they have been filled with just as many satisfactions and above all teachings. After starting the vineyard and discovering its full potential, I decided to push myself further and in 2021 I began to vinify a part of the harvest.
The emotion generated by this dream, now tangible, becomes almost a pleasant obsession. After almost two years of work in the cellar, in 2023 the first “RACHELE” label finally arrives.
For its vinification, we choose only high-quality grapes, we let it age in stainless steel containers to preserve its natural characteristics. After the aging period in steel, we bottle it and let it age in the bottle before it can be tasted.
